I · The story

An authentic Cape farm celebration

Muldersvlei is a real working farm in the Stellenbosch Winelands — thirty hectares of lemon orchards, cattle, and a historic Cape Dutch manor dating to 1817. We offer an authentic country celebration without pretense, surrounded by open skies and mountain views.

We will not host another function on your special day. The reception hall and its surrounding garden are yours from the first drinks to the last dance, with no overlapping events and no rushed schedules.

The venue includes 13 rectangular tables, 100 teak indoor chairs and 100 plastic ceremony or outdoor chairs. Cushions and covers are not included.

Seven en-suite rooms in the old stable sleep 22, a short walk from the dancing. No late-night driving.

One wedding a day

We will never book another function on your date. The reception hall and its garden are yours.

IV · The detail

Essential details

The bar: Muldersvlei handles all beverage requirements. No outside alcohol is permitted. Cash-bar and open-bar options are available, and welcome drinks or pre-reception drinks can be pre-ordered. Drink prices are available on request.
Catering: Outside caterers are welcome at no extra charge per head. We have a preferred caterer, and in-house catering is available on request.
The Manor House: The Manor House remains a private family residence. Its garden is made available for your ceremony, you may sign inside the house, and after the confetti moment on the steps the house and garden return to private use.
Exclusive use: The reception hall and its surrounding garden are yours for the celebration. We will not host another function on your special day.
Timing: Music stops strictly at 00:00. The venue must be vacated and ready to lock by 00:45.
Breakage and damage deposit: A R5 000 refundable breakage and damage deposit is held before the event and applies to all packages. It is forfeited if the venue cannot be closed and locked by 00:45 because clients or guests remain on site, if estate staff are required to pack away, gather or store external hired items on your behalf, or if any damage or breakage occurs to estate property, buildings, fixtures or grounds.
Kitchen & power: A catering prep kitchen is provided. Couples arrange their own backup generator if they would like one.
Staying over: The guesthouse is an optional add-on — seven en-suite rooms sleeping up to 22 guests.

Access, setup and pack-away

Access is available the day before from 10:00 to 18:00. On the wedding day, access is available from 09:00 until two hours before the function. The standard function duration is eight hours.

· The client is responsible for packing away every externally hired item. This includes décor, lighting, candles, vases, linen, napkins, cutlery, crockery, glassware, furniture and all other hired goods.
· All externally hired goods and outdoor hired items must be stored and packed away with care inside the venue by the close of the event.
· Music stops strictly at 00:00, and the venue must be vacated and ready to lock by 00:45.
· Muldersvlei staff are not responsible for setting up or breaking down décor or lights, moving hired furniture, arranging flowers, or packing hired goods.
· The R5 000 deposit is forfeited if the venue cannot be locked by 00:45 because clients or guests remain on site, if estate staff must pack away, gather or store hired items on your behalf, or if any damage or breakage occurs to estate property, buildings, fixtures or grounds.
· Collection of packed hired goods must be arranged for no earlier than 12:30 on the Monday after the wedding.
